Freedom from People Bondage

PEOPLEBOND

You have to go to school, work, or even church again and you’re dreading it! Not because you don’t like the work you do there or the sermons you hear, but you can’t stand it because of the people! The people are literally the worse thing about these places and what’s worse is you’re one of the ‘super’ Christians that are there. People know you’re a strong believer! The truth is, you’re feeling isolated in your faith walk and your now experiencing what all believers experience at one point or the other. You’re experiencing being hated on for following Christ or maybe you’re just dealing with people who just don’t seem to like you because you are you. Well, friend, it’s time to let this people bondage go because it’s pretty much impossible to walk with God and value the opinions of man more than His opinion.

Bad Bosses

badboss3

You’re warm and cozy in your bed getting the best sleep of your life, when a trickle of sunlight pierces through your window and touches your eye. She nags you and picks apart every little thing that you do without even so much as a thank you for the good you have done. She talks about you with the others behind your back. She demeans and humiliates you in front of others to make it seem as though you’re not smart enough to do your own job, which actually makes her look dumb, in your eyes, since she hired you! You could leave the job, but you find rewarding things about other aspects of your work or you just need the money. Either way, the Sunday sermon certainly didn’t help by reinforcing the concept that you have to submit to that witch!

How to Survive a difficult job like a Pro!

difficult

So you learned how to survive dealing with people who hate your guts(read about that here), but now you’re realizing you don’t know if you can survive another year dealing with difficult personalities, crazy workloads, and just over all toxic work environments. What’s a gal/guy to do with so much coming against them? And to top it all off God did make work toil as part of the curse from the fall of Adam and Eve, right? Soooo, He should completely understand if you want to throw Sally from accounting under the bus if she pries her nosy self into your love life one more time because you’re stressed. She’s had the wrath of God coming to her for a long time, or so you think. Would God approve though?

What Does the Man in Charge Say?

WDTMICS

I’ve worked for a little while in my life despite my age and dealt with many different supervisors over the years. Sometimes, especially when you really care about doing well on the job and pleasing your boss, we can become obsessed with doing ‘perfect’ work. We can get to the point where we are over analyzing every little detail or thing that we are doing because maybe we really like the place or the people there or the job in general. Sometimes we get so excited about the job we worry too much about how well we are doing and start listening to what others are saying about us. Or worse we nitpick and look down at our own work.
